Our longest-running – and quite possibly Denver’s longest running – show is still going! Freak Train has been the best open-mic/variety show in town since 2000!

Third Thursday of Every Month

The Emerging Filmmakers Project has been showcasing the best of Denver's new and established independent filmmakers the third Thursday of every month since 2002!

The Grawlix

The Grawlix is the comedy super group comprised of Adam Cayton-Holland,
Ben Roy, and Andrew Orvedahl.

Last Friday of Every Month

Think Discovery Channel, but live and with beer. Three experts. 20 minutes each. Come learn something new while drinking along.

Three Shows a Year

Presenters get 20 slides, which automatically advance every 15 seconds. The result is a fast and fun presentation which lasts just 5 minutes.

Join us at The Bug on the last Tuesday of every month for free trivia with Denver Trivia League!

Fourth Thursday of the Month

Colorado's premier improv comedy theater company and non-profit organization.

A revolution of storytelling. Be warned, boundaries will be pushed and tears will be shed.

The Bug Theatre produces and hosts several theatrical productions throughout the year.

An exciting collection of cinematic, performance, and literary offerings that provide illuminating perspectives on ecological and cultural stewardship traditions of the Americas. 

RENTALS

The Bug Theatre is home to live theatrical performances, forums, and classes, and regularly brings national and international artwork to our audience in the form of film festivals and traveling artists. We are a multifunctional venue that provides a gathering place for community meetings, workshops, benefits, and other artistic events. Our calendar is regularly booked with comedy, music, and burlesque. We can be rented for private parties. A traveling cat circus visits us every couple of years.
